On first impressions, you might look at this game and think "what is this junk" but honestly it's quite good. Based on the UK show 'Robot Wars' stays totally faithful to the TV show. Sadly Craig Charles is missing from this but it does have the familiar voice of Jonathan Pearce on commentry.

The game plays like an actual 'Robot Wars' battle and has the iconic arena, plus other themed ones like 'Subway' & 'Rooftop' The controls take a lot of work getting used to, I recommend changing out of the RC controls because this game is hard enough without having to battle with 'Tank Controls' as well.

My biggest gripe, is it's crushingly hard at times. The computer is relentless & the judges always side with the AI on scores, so you really need to try and wipeout your opponent on one of the many hazards before the time runs out.

The championship mode gives you the ability to build your own robot from scratch (but with limited options at first) which also adds to the difficulty because all the stage 1 robots are way tougher that you . It took me over an hour of trying to win my first championship it's that tough.

According to Wikipedia this game was never released outside of PAL territories, but I do recommend anyone who can find it to give it a bash, it's great fun :)
