LEGO: The Ninjago Movie

2017 - Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment - TT Fusion

Having not seen the movie, and only a couple of episodes of the TV series, I went into this game blind and ended up really enjoying it.

If you've played a LEGO game before, you pretty much know how this one plays out, but there are a couple of nice additions that I kinda prefer over the older games.

The biggest change, is the removal of the 'True' meter that you usually have to fill by collecting studs on each level, in favour of one experience bar that carries through the whole game and maxes out at level 20. However, there is a distinct lack of things to purchase, making the studs practically worthless (There are a couple of missions on each level that require studs to complete, but that's it)

I'm guessing the story is ripped right from the film as there are scenes scattered all through the game, yet I came across a few parts that didn't make any sense and whole chunks seemed missing. However it does have a giant cat in it and that's awesome!

The changes and obvious cuts don't take anything away from the overall experience though, and personally this has to be one of the best LEGO games in the series and I highly recommend it.
