First off, I have to say that Chaos Bleeds is nowhere near as good as the original. I'm a big fan of the original and I really did try to like this but it's got so many issues that I just can't. This wasn't made by the same team and you can see that almost straight away. The game tries to stay faithful to the series and plays just like the other one and they obviously had access to the original source code, but it's just not good in comparison.

This time around you don't just play as Buffy, but almost the whole gang. Each character has their own skills which are essential to get through their stages, but this just ruins the flow for me. Xander, Faith & Spike are just re-skins of Buffy so they play exactly the same, where as Willow is a magic caster and can't use hand to hand combat which couldn't possibly get awkward in this sort of game could it? (Sarcasm)

Another annoyance is the addition of puzzle-based boss fights. there are about 3-4 of these through the game and they're utter garbage. I urge you to check them out on Youtube and see how ridiculous they are. there's no thought process behind them obviously. The sad truth is that someone actually got paid to come up with these ideas.

I really did try to enjoy this game, as I said before I'm a big fan of the original Xbox version and I've played through that many times. This one however, I was barely able to get through it once talk about ever again. If anything it's just made me appreciate the original that little bit more.
