On first impression Armed & Dangerous looks & sounds like one of those overlooked Xbox classics, a diamond in the rough so to speak. Once you play it however, you realise there's a reason no one actually wasted their time playing it, it's garbage!

When I first started playing this, I was drawn in by the silly writing & the Rag-Tag bunch of characters, but after a couple of missions that faded. The game is void of any purpose. You just run & gun through the same brown mountains with little care. There's no reason for any if it. You can't upgrade the weapons or your characters, and there's no money to purchase better gear or items.

You play as part of a team of 3, but you can't switch characters. They just run alongside you barely killing anything but dying a lot themselves. You can't even heal them, you have to hope they run over a health pack themselves while flailing about.

I cannot deny though, the story is both funny & Clever, obviously written out of love for Monty Python. There is an imaginative array of weapons to enjoy and had me laughing out loud at times. however this is still wrapped up in an abysmal excuse for a third person shooter. How they can manage to cock that up is beyond me. The shooting is repetitive & inaccurate with endless waves of identikit baddies and the same boring landscapes to trudge through. Boring lazy mission objectives like ‘Blow up X amount of buildings/Turrets to pass the stage, which does a good job of ruining the experience.

I'm genuinely angry about this one, because it ticks so many of my boxes, but it was such a letdown. If you have nothing better to play, then this might do for a few hours or so, but unless you're an XBOX collector, I'd probably swerve this one.
